Greg Mccowan's Life Story

Greg McCowan lived his life with love, happiness, and fun. He loved and enjoyed Dirt Track Racing, riding motorcycles, and restoring cars, especially Mustangs. There was endless fun doing this and he made so many memories in the process.. He also loved traveling, boating, and cruises. However, more than any of that, he loved his family most of all.

Greg McCowan's family meant the world to him and he loved to spend time with them. He was a loving son to his parents Dallas McCowan and Elizabeth Taulbee. He was born and raised in Kentucky and later moved to Tennessee  with his mother. His love and relationship with his parents never faded. He and his mom had a very close relationship. They were laughing every chance they got. He also had a sister, Charity Taulbee, and was very close to her as well. There are so many stories and fond memories with his family, we wish we could share them all.

He eventually had his own family and had two wonderful children, Cayden and Cayley McCowan. He was the best Dad they could ever ask for. He raised his children making sure they had a wonderful childhood and life as they grew older.

He taught both of them how to ride a bike, and eventually how to drive a car. As his children grew up they took the life lessons, advice, and manners their Dad taught them.. All the memories, vacations, and endless adventures they had with him, were definitely the highlight of their lives.

Greg had one beautiful granddaughter, Ella Underwood. He was the greatest Papa she could have ever had. He spent as much time with her as he possibly could, visiting her every week. He always had the best time sliding, swinging  , and going on fun excursions with her. Sometimes  he would bring his police car and would show her the lights and all the cool stuff inside. She brought so much joy to his life and he brought just as much to hers.

In 2021, Greg met his fiance, Leah. They loved riding motorcycles together, going on vacations, and were always getting into  fun. They brought so much love and happiness to each other.

Along with family, he also had many close family friends that meant a lot to him.. If Greg loved you, you became his family.

Greg will always be remembered for having a smile on his face, making others laugh, and always being willing to give a helping hand.

The memories that he made throughout his journey of life will always be remembered.

Officer McCowan served his community in Blount County, Tennessee for four years. Greg had always been interested in Law Enforcement.
